About Us
Our Girls Build LA Club is one of many Year 10 Teams in the national Girls Build initiative, a program sponsored by the LA Promise Fund. Our club empowers young women to identify and solve real-world problems in their communities through leadership, teamwork, and innovation!
Our Initial Mission:
The Mission of the Marshall Fundamental GBLA CUB (Community, Unity, and Building) House was to provide information, advocacy, and assistance in the area of children’s health. Our goal was to create a community of good physical and mental health on campus by connecting with local and national health and safety programs, expanding the knowledge of these programs and services to our school community, connecting students to resources, and then finding ways to support these programs and enhancing our personal health by demonstrating the importance of helping others.
Our New Mission:
Although we initially focused on advocacy and support in children's health, the Eaton fire prompted us to shift our efforts toward helping our community recover and rebuild. Our mission is to uplift and support our community through meaningful action, shifting our focus in response to urgent needs. In the wake of the Eaton Fire, we are dedicated to fostering recovery, unity, and hope, bringing people together through events like our volleyball tournament to raise funds and restore a sense of connection and resilience.
